Dear Faculty, Staff, Parents, Students, and Community:

On September 7 through September 10, six representatives from AdvancEd, the parent agency of SACS-CASI (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools - Council on Accreditation and School Improvement), visited our school district.  SACS-CASI is the agency responsible for accrediting our school system, and our goal during this visit was to continue to be an accredited school system. 

During their review, the representatives visited all campuses, interviewed numerous stakeholders, and reviewed documentation and records.  They thoroughly assessed our district’s performance in meeting the seven AdvancEd High Standards of Accreditation, as well as how we engage in a continuous improvement process and demonstrate quality assurance.  It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to share the wonderful news that our school district is being recommended for district accreditation as a quality school system through SACS.

Due to the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff members, as well as the support of our stakeholders and community, we have been successful as we continue to strive to achieve our district’s vision:  The Fannin County School System will be recognized as a world class school system that holds a vision of excellence for all students with successful student progression at each level and a 100% graduation rate.

All involved in this process are to be commended for continuously demonstrating a willingness to do whatever it takes to give the children of Fannin County the best possible education.
